The Skin You Live In.

We all make a beauty so wonderfully true.
We are special and different, and just the same, too!
So whenever you look at your beautiful skin, from your wiggling toes to your giggling grin…
Think how lucky you are that the skin you live in, so beautifully holds the “You” who’s within.”

The infamous Vintage Light Denim Reworked High Waisted Levi 501 Shorts! Yes, you’ve seen them everywhere on social media but they are seriously the best pair of high rise denim shorts I own. The quality of the denim is exactly how denim jean shorts should be. For as long as I can remember, Levi’s were one of the main brands when shopping for denim jeans. The search to find a pair of these bad boys was a bit of a challenge. From thrifting while I lived in San Francisco, to searching the internet, and now back home here in Hawaii. The most difficult part I had finding a pair was making sure the fit was right and that the price wouldn’t going to empty out my wallet.
One of my favorite places to shop is at second hand stores. The possibilities of finding amazing pieces from vintage to modern are endless. These Levi’s actually had two price tags on them, one from Savers and one from Buffalo Exchange! A privately owned, family-operated fashion resale retailer that buys and resells used clothing in San Francisco! I would always stop by there frequently to shop on Haight Street along with Crossroads Trading Company, another amazing secondhand retailer.
These photos were taken by my neighbor, brother (from another mother), and great friend @AdamVegasBomb who just recently moved back home from Vegas! He suggested this park in a apartment complex a few of our friends lives in, that I had no idea existed? It was around the time I like to call “the golden hours”, where everything just radiates gold light in the last moments of the suns energy – Filling us up until we meet again in the morning.
The sun doesn’t struggle to rise and neither should we.

The Good Times Are Killing Me.

There’s nothing more that I cherish then the relationship I have for my friends & family. Supporting each other and watching each other grow, experiencing new experiences with each other and letting the good times roll. I want to share a new project that a few of my friends are starting – A brand by the name The Good Times Are Killin’ Me or AKA: #GTAKM – It’s still a new project that is just in the beginning stages – from the sketch by a tattoo artist, to a illustrator guru for clean up, and finally to the screen printing shop. I was honored enough to have this mens small tank given to me by one of the owner & creators so I knew I had to plan a shoot to feature how I would style a mens tank top. Wasn’t daring enough to rock it as a dress, so I picked out my (only) pair of white pants that I distressed and cropped myself – Not the best cutting job, but I felt it gave it character, rather than the straight edge cut. The shoes, the shoes, the shoes.. Need I say more? I knew I had to go up and beyond to take this mens tank top to the next level and these Jeffrey Campbell Prickly No Heel Pumps with the silver body chain did the trick. The Good Times Are Killin’ Me will be selling mens shirts & tanks in the colors black on black (the one I’m rocking) or a Tiffany blue with black writing. Follow them on Instagram and direct message for any questions or information.
THE BEST IS YET TO COME.

No longer lost. No longer the same.
Posted: July 25, 2015 Filed under: LOOKBOOK.NU, Outfits Leave a commentFor everything you have missed, you have gained something else; And for everything you gain, you lose something else. It is about your outlook towards life. You can either regret or rejoice.
This dress was my sisters back in the 90’s when she was living the beautiful city life in San Francisco. It’s crazy how much I followed my sisters footsteps even though we are thirteen years apart. From my fashion sense, music taste, and the decision to pack up my bags and make the move from the rock we call an island to the Bay Area of California. I’ve also inherited some of my favorite jewelry from my older sister. She worked at Art Lines when she was in high school (back when it was still at Ala Moana Shopping Center next to Jungle Fun) so naturally she collected quite a few pieces of jewelry that are not only beautiful, but timeless. The jewelry that I am wearing in this look and majority everyday are from Art Lines. They are renovating and relocating now in Windward Mall and I’m totally bummed to have missed there huge blowout sale beforehand. Oh well, I’m excited to see what is in store for them – it’s my favorite place for gifts & accessories. I can literally get lost and spend forever in there. Expect a post soon of all my favorite pieces from Art Lines from jewelry to little knick-knacks that I have around my bedroom. Stay tuned and hope you all are enjoying your weekend! Cheers!

Inside All Of Us There Is A Wild Thing.
Posted: July 24, 2015 Filed under: LOOKBOOK.NU, Outfits Leave a commentShe is just some wild thing.
Let her laugh, live, love, and roam free on her own terms.
I’ve gained a huge love for Bolo Tie style necklaces. It’s like the same style as a dainty Y-necklace that I would wear daily but more of a statement piece. I found this black & white Bolo from Salvation Army for only two dollars – can’t beat that! Paired it with my tribal print crop tank top to combine the two black and white pieces. At first I wanted to wear basic black pants, but it was literally 90 degrees and that idea was thrown out the window real quick. Decided to go with these corduroy shorts from FOREVER21 and my Frye Carson Pull-On boots. Earth tone colors are by far my favorite. I felt these colors fit perfect with my backyard as the backdrop. Trying my best to have more locations with my outfit posts. It’s just hard if I don’t have a photographer and have to haul around my tripod. Stay tuned for more posts! The best is still yet to come!
With love,

Product Review | Advice From A Honey Bee
Posted: June 17, 2015 Filed under: ProductReview | Tags: BurtsBees, HeyHoney, NatureRepublic, ProductReview Leave a commentCreate your own buzz. Sip life’s sweet moments.
Mind your own beeswax. Work together.
Always find your way home. Stick close to your honey.
Bee yourself.
I wanted to share some of my favorite beauty products that I use everyday. It’s a coincidence that they all consist something from the Honey Bees – it gave me the inspiration to do a review post on it. I will begin from left to right on the photo above.
1. Nature Republic Bee Venom Toner – After washing my face, I dispense about a nickel size amount on a cotton pad. Then I gently wipe it off in an outward direction along my face and neck.
2. Nature Republic Bee Venom Emulsion – After my toner has dried I will dispense a dime size amount to my entire face and neck. Pat lightly to help the absorption – couple slaps will sure wake you up! 😉
FACT: – For thousands of years mankind has been using honeybee sting fluid or bee venom, as a remedy for antibacterial, anti-inflammatation and pain killing purposes.
These two products are for all skin types and are made in Korea – got to support my people you know haha. They are mainly meant for acne care and sensitive skin – which is perfect for me! I’ve always had a hard time finding the right toner + moisturizer that didn’t leave my skin feeling sticky or oily. Which is why I paired this feather in my photo with these products, it literally feels light as a feather after it dries! You can find these and other amazing beauty products at Nature Republic (Ala Moana + Pearlridge Uptown).
3. Burt’s Bees Herbal Blemish Stick (Top Right) – Absolute all time favorite acne medicine! This product comes in a rollerball form and is 100% natural that contains ten effective herbal ingredients like tea tree and juniper oils. It also features Willow Bark, which clarifies and gently exfoliates your skin to relieve pores and help prevent those annoying breakouts. This herbal blemish stick fits perfectly into your purse, so you can apply it anytime, anywhere. Growing up I suffered from severe acne from the sixth grade due to both hormones + heredity. It has only been a few years since I have been completely content with my skin and deal with problem spots like nothing. I’m fine being without makeup, but I love how a little makeup can do so much to liven and brighten up your face and highlight your features. I usually purchase this product at Longs, Walgreens, or Whole Foods.
4. HEY HONEY: Good Morning: Honey Silk Facial Serum (Bottom Right) – I received this product back in May from Ipsy Glam Bag (where I receive a new makeup bag and other new beauty products once a month). I fell in love with this serum as soon as I first put it on my face – another feather light weight product that produces great results! It’s excellent when used under makeup, providing a smooth and glossy appearance to your skin. This serum also replenishes and protects your skin so you are ready to take on the day! It softens and nourishes with honey, sea-buckthorn oil and premium moisturizers. It also protects from free radical damage and moisture loss with Vitamins A & E. I still have a good amount of this product so I haven’t researched till now where to purchase it. Hey Honey’s website is sadly sold out of it at the moment but a release date of a new shipment is the fifth of July.
I would highly recommend all these products for everyone. Nobody is perfect and we get blemishes every now and then, and these products help prevent and take care of that issue when it occurs. Below are links to purchase all these products!
1. Nature Republic Bee Venom Toner
2. Nature Republic Bee Venom Emulsion
3. Burt’s Bees Herbal Blemish Stick
4. HEY HONEY: Good Morning: Honey Silk Facial Serum

Shades Of Cool.
Posted: June 16, 2015 Filed under: From Within, LOOKBOOK.NU, Outfits, Thoughts Leave a commentWatch the light turn gold as the sun folds. Trying to find the shades of cool even though we still knew. Everyone is all on the same path. Living life to it’s last. Do what you say and say what you do. Then every dream will come true.
“Summertime and the living’s easy..” – Sublime has been a lyric quote that will forever will be said till the end of time. Living in Hawaii we pretty much have an ENDLESS SUMMER but you can definitely feel the heat more than ever during this past month. Finally starting to have a little color on my skin; especially my legs – thanks to kayaking!
This day was so incredible hot and muggy so I wore a very light weight romper I got from Forever21 couple weeks ago. Note: I was wearing my slippers (for you mainland people: ‘flip-flops’) beforehand and changed into my creepers right before haha. Paired it with my Calvin Klein fedora that I scored from Ross for less than half the price and my daily jewelry for the most part. These green mirrored circle shades I bought were brand new from a garage sale my mother and her church put together. I’ve been looking for more mirrored shades in different frames – I love how a photo can be with the reflection from them, if you set it up right! #newproject
I would drive pass this little lookout the times I decided to go the scenic way home – because the scenic route is always better than sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the dip! It would be always be during what I like to call ‘the golden hour’ and I knew I should do a photoshoot over there, the backdrop of the mountains and the bay are breathtaking. My friend M.F. was available to help me shoot these so I wouldn’t have to haul my tripod and look like a fool trying to get a shot haha.
Many more outfit posts coming along with my favorite beauty, hair, skin products, thrift hauls, inspiration, videos, and my own photography on the daily! Stay tuned and check back! Enjoy all that summer is and has to offer!
❤

Keys & Krates is an electronic band from Toronto, Canada. “We make weird rap beats for the weird kids” they quote about themselves – Wicked and weird for life! I have been a fan of Keys & Krates since back in 2005 when my homie showed me a mix they did of the famous track ‘One In A Million’ by the incredible; unforgettable artist Aaliyah – track was put on repeat!
One of the main reasons I decided to pack my bags and leave my home here on Oahu is because of the lack of music artists coming out to share and perform their music. San Francisco was my destination to finally explore and experience a wide range of various artists and attend music festivals. Now, six years later and officially moved back home, Hawaii has finally stepped up their game! Bringing various of different artists down that be including Keys & Krates!
Like it says above, “I get by with a little help from my friends.” I sadly wasn’t going to attend this show because of me waiting too long to buy my ticket at the box office instead of online (trying to avoid that service charge). Ticket prices went almost double. Driving home from my epic day at Lanikai beach and kayaking to the Moke Islands I wondered what I was going to do on this Saturday night. Then I received a magical text message from a friend of mine which an extra ticket! I danced of pure joy and happiness in my room while freaking all of my cats out of the room, hahaha. And to top it off we got to stay in Waikiki at a hotel! I seriously was so grateful and appreciated all the good things that came by way. Spread positive vibes and energy & it will soon come right back at you! Just wait and see!
During the show I literally had my SnapChat on the entire show! Or at least the parts where I wanted to share with everyone who wasn’t there. My SnapChat story became almost 800 seconds from my entire day.. As Ice Cube would say, “It was a good day!..” Mashed up all my SnapChat videos of Keys & Krates set – definitely doesn’t live up to being there and in the moment. But none the less that’s what photos and videos are there for, to remember and reminisce of the good times.

Don’t Lose Your Sense Of Wonder.
Posted: April 1, 2015 Filed under: LOOKBOOK.NU, Outfits Leave a comment
We all go to that place of wonder, a place to wander. Weather it be in our minds or on our feet – it’s our favorite getaway. It’s a time where time doesn’t interfere with getting lost, and as you find your way back you realize how much you’ve learned.
The traffic here on Oahu has been absolutely ridiculous – due to problems that should’ve had a back up plan ready and waiting. It was probably the most time I’ve spent in my car without getting out (in Hawaii at least). Tried to make the best of it and stay positive with blasting my music, singing along, or just shuffling through all my wonders, goals, hopes, and dreams.
This is the last look from the day I photographed with M.F. We are planning another shoot soon also with other friends of mine who are willing to help. Stay focused on what you want because your the only person whose going to get it for you.

Day Dreamer.
Posted: March 18, 2015 Filed under: LOOKBOOK.NU, Outfits 2 CommentsNever let it be said that to dream is a waste of one’s time. For dreams are our realities waiting in the making. In dreams, we plant the seeds of our future. Therefore we must be patient and bloom once we are ready.
“Anything worth doing is worth doing right.”
Our souls are made of love and energy. Like a raindrop to a snowball or wood to a flame.
Pendleton print is one of my all time favorites. I love anything bohemian vibe with a little gypsy spark to it – these pants sure do the trick! You would be amazed of how much I paid for these.. SIX DOLLARS! The fabric is just as soft as a blanket I sleep with! Seriously unreal. This outfit is definitely another “damn.. I wish I was going to Coachella” outfit. Merp.
The grass is always greener on the other side..
